When to visit Woodloch
Woodloch is open year-round, but each season offers its own charm. Summer brings lake adventures and outdoor fun, while fall features brilliant foliage and cozy campfires. Winter is perfect for snowy activities and festive holiday events, and spring offers fewer crowds with refreshing mountain air.
We did our family trip in August. It was perfect for swimming and outdoor activities. I was massively pregnant and it was my last trip before having our baby! Just one of the amazing babymoons of 2023!
How to Get to Woodloch Resort
Woodloch Resort is located in Hawley, Pennsylvania. It is nestled in the mountains and a convenient drive from several major cities. It is about 2 hours from NYC, 3 hours from Philadelphia and about 5 hours from Baltimore and Washington DC. The closest airport is AVP Scranton/Wilkes-Barre International Airport in Avoca, PA. This is about 55 miles from Woodloch Resort.
This was a great location for our family who lives in Connecticut and us who live in Baltimore. We drove up from Baltimore and stopped in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania on the way to explore the state capital! It was a great little break on the drive up!

Woodloch Resorts has various accommodations to fit your needs. There are hotel rooms and suites. There is also resort property vacation rentals where the whole family can stay with kitchen facilities, living rooms and more. Located two miles from the main resort is Woodloch Springs which is the golf course community. Here you can rent properties that give you flexibility of planning own meals. There is a gym, fitness classes and pools located here as well!

Things to do while visiting Woodloch Resort
Woodloch offers something for everyone, no matter the season. In the summer, enjoy kayaking, paddle boating, or swimming in Lake Teedyuskung. The resort’s daily activity schedule includes games, contests, and entertainment — from trivia to Broadway-style shows. During winter, you can go snow tubing, ice skating, or take a scenic sleigh ride.
Our family did mini golf, go carts, archery, bumper boats, swimming, waterslides and a horse drawn carriage ride. There was also a pickleball tournament. You can check out the daily sheets to see what is available. I was very pregnant so limited on the activities I could do however I went swimming, did archery and mini golf, took a yoga class and enjoyed the work out facilities.
