Turks and Caicos is consistently ranked one of the top Caribbean islands to visit and on lists of top beaches around the world. Now having been, I have to agree. The turquoise waters are top notch and you will revel in the beautiful views and warm waters. This is a list of some of the beaches you might want to add to your itinerary when you come to visit!
Top beaches Providenciales
Grace Bay
Grace Bay is the iconic beach on Providenciales, and chances are you will be either staying here or checking out this beautiful beach during your stay on Providenciales. The beach is lined with incredible resorts and is the biggest collection of bars, restaurants, cafes, and shopping on the island.
Taylor Bay
This tranquil beach is a fan favorite with its crystal-clear waters and shallow relaxing area. It is great for families due to the shallow and calm waters. To get to this area you will street park and walk down a short walkway to the beach. Bring your own chairs, towels, umbrellas, coolers.
Sapodilla Beach
This beach located near Chalk Sound is a great beach with calm waters and beautiful blue waters. You can rent chairs here. There are a few stalls selling food and drinks at the public entrance. You can also rent jet skis here as well. If you are up for walk and aerial view of this beach you can climb up the Sapodilla Hill and Rock Carvings trail.
Long Bay Beach
This beach is popular among water sport enthusiasts. If you like to kiteboard or want to give it a try this is the place. You can also rent jet skis from the beach. This beach is a little more windy but stunningly beautiful. You can reach it via a public parking lot through a sandy path to the beach. Off the coast you can see the wreck of La Famille Express.
Half Moon Bay
This beach is found between Water Cay and Little Water Cay and you can reach it via boat only. You can do a half day snorkel tour which allows some time on this beach. You can also catch the rock iguana in this area.
North and Middle Caicos
Mudjin Harbour
Mudjin Harbour is the top attraction on Middle Caicos and its no wonder why. Between the limestone cliffs, incredible vistas, and cave like isolated beaches you will be in awe. You can see the iconic Dragon Cay which is a small limestone island at the main beach connected by a sandbar. This is also where you can start the Crossing Place trail.
Bambarra Beach
With its shallow and calm waters this beach is an incredible beach to visit with children. During the low tide you can walk out to Pelican Cay. The walk is about ½ mile off the coast and gets deeper as you go out. Or you can simply just soak in the crystal-clear waters. There are some tiki huts selling drinks and food and picnic tables under shaded trees.
Horsestable Beach
This is the northeastern most beach in North Caicos. It has a beautiful little pier and stunning teal waters. There was quite a bit of seaweed on the sand, but the waters were generally clear. We were the only tourists at this beach.
Three Marys Cay
These are three limestone offshore rocks and boast good wildlife and snorkeling opportunities. They are a little challenging to get to. We tried to get to them via Sandy Point area and the roads were in bad condition and overgrown, so we ended up getting a view from afar and moving on to other destinations for timing purposes.
grand turk
Governor’s Beach
If you are visiting Turks and Caicos via cruise, you will end up on Grand Turk. The easiest to visit and considered best beach is Governor’s Beach which is located right off the cruise center. There are usually vendors selling drinks along the beach. The waters are crystal clear and beautiful.
