The Caribbean is a region of the Americas that comprises the Caribbean Sea. It comprises more than 700 islands. Though primarily islands some mainland countries including Belize, Mexico, Guyana, and Suriname consider themselves part of the Caribbean. Central American countries have coastlines with the Caribbean Sea with a number of coastal islands with very Caribbean feel. Furthermore some iconic islands such as the Bahamas and Turks and Caicos are not within the Caribbean Sea, however consider part of the Caribbean Islands. The Caribbean region is known for tropical islands, crystal clear waters, amazing snorkeling and diving, boating activities and natural beauty. This area is teeming with paradise vacation spots.
