My Year 2024 in Review
Wow! Traveling is sure different now that we have a little guy in tow. It is so vastly different than having a carry on and traveling around the world to endless things to bring, pumping and traveling, looking meticulously at flight times, choosing direct flights, and picking child friendly places. Thomas might have wanted to kill me with my desire to fly everywhere since flying with a lap child is free! Boy did we make the most of it!
2024 Year of Travel- First Stop Arizona!
We started off the year with our longest flight with the baby this far to Arizona. On this trip we explored Phoenix, Sedona, Tucson and did some firsts such as going to the WM golf tournament. Definitely a learning experience with the baby-check out top tips HERE! This flight was also the infamous milk splash zone flight. I’d say we learned from that but we are currently on a cross country flight seated apart as I am writing this. Check out our ten day road trip itinerary with the baby HERE!
Next stop 2024-New Orleans
Next, we went to New Orleans for a friend’s wedding. We were smarter and brought grandparents! Plus one of my best friends from college lives nearby so we had a great visit. We really enjoyed bringing the baby to Bourbon Street and exploring the city. We also got some alone time thanks to the grandparents!
2024 Road Trip to Georgia
In May, some of my medical school friends wanted to do a little reunion and we ended up at a friends house in northern Georgia. On the way we passed through Asheville NC. This was Calvin’s first boat ride! He loved it until he got splashed haha.
2024- Baby's First International Trip
We also got Calvin’s first passport this year in anticipation of our five year wedding anniversary we took a two week trip to Europe starting in Switzerland and then Liechtenstein and Germany! Great first start to Calvin’s international travel list. Check out our ten day itinerary HERE!
2024 Montana and Canada
In late September, we traveled to Montana and visited Whitefish and Glacier National Park. We used our passports to cross into Canada for the day to visit Waterton Lakes National Park. The grandparents joined us for this too- which was perfect. We got to do boat rides, hiking, scenic car trips and just enjoy Whitefish, Montana!
More Travels!
The remaining part of the year, we went to Tennessee and Connecticut to spend time with our family. The literal last part of the year Thomas and Calvin went on their first solo trip to Georgia for the Peach Bowl. It was a travel packed year!

2025- an epic year on the horizon
2025 is going to be another epic year for sure. Now we have a little guy in tow and travel is definitely looking a lot different. We still have a little bit more time of free lap child travel! We are learning more about traveling with a child. Thankfully the days of pumping will be behind us! I can’t see what 2025 has to offer!
